Support Worker (Full Time)

We are currently seeking a full time Support Worker to work from our Wanstead office.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team whose aim is to recruit, train and supervise foster carers to support the children and young people placed with us. The role will involve working directly with children and young people, providing sessional work and transporting children to contact with family members.

Other aspects of work will include the facilitation of children’s groups, report writing, maintenance of records and offering support to administrative staff as required.

You must have a full driving license and use of your own car for this position. The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with children and adults and a professional manner in dealing with all is essential. You must also be a competent user of IT, particularly Microsoft Office products, database entry and information seeking. The ability to work flexibly is also essential as some late evening and weekend work will be required.

The salary scale for this post is £16,383.69 - £22,066.45 per annum dependent on experience.
